Live the Dream of an English Premier League Manager in the Open Beta for Fantasy Football Manager

WeMade Entertainment announced that its free-to-play online fantasy soccer experience Fantasy Football Manager is now in open beta for the 2010-11 English Premier League season. Players are being invited to participate and provide feedback in exchange for WeCash, WeMade’s virtual currency, to help create an entertaining and interactive fantasy sports experience. WeCash can be used in any WeMade game including Fantasy Football Manager, Digimon Battle and others to purchase virtual goods, upgrades, bonus items and other benefits.

In Fantasy Football Manager players will create teams of their favorite EPL stars and challenge other fans in fantasy matches, competing for big earnings and a chance to be the number one fantasy team in worldwide rankings. The experience updates in real time, enabling users to track their success and make adjustments that increase the club’s chances at dominating the pitch.

To encourage participation and user feedback, WeMade will be giving away 1,000 WeCash (worth $10 USD) to every user who submits an idea on the official forums and 5,000 WeCash (worth $50 USD) to the 10 players with the best ideas, as picked by WeMade.

A new milestone for Runes of Magic

Frogster invites its 4 million players to come and celebrate at Gamecom

Frogster announced that its online role play game Runes of Magic has now over 4 million registered users worldwide. In over two years, the Berlin based publisher has reached another significant milestone in the history of its multi-award-winning MMORPG. Frogster will celebrate this new historical step for Runes of Magic with its community in Cologne during the Gamescom, from the 19th to the 22nd of August, by setting up contests and demonstrations on their public booth C020/B021 in hall 9.1.

Snail Games USA Announces Ministry of War Partnership with Kongregate

SNAIL GAMES USA today announced a partnership with premier gaming portal Kongregate to distribute Snail’s upcoming MMO title Ministry of War (MoW) to Kongregate’s world-class community of 10 million gamers. Kongregate was recently acquired by retail gaming giant GameStop to advance the company’s digital strategy.

MoW is set to launch as an historical real-time strategy (RTS) browser-based MMO, and represents a quantum leap forward in Flash game design. In MoW, players battle for conquest and territory as one of four ancient civilizations (Imperial Rome, China, Egypt, or Persia) using the game’s revolutionary combat and land-control systems. The game also boasts robust Quest, Resource, Trade, and Leveling, and Guild Systems, making MoW the first of its kind among browser games. The game is free to play and requires no download, so MoW can be played instantly.

Kongregate CEO Jim Greer said, “Snail has a great track record with us and we’re looking forward to bringing Ministry of War to our community when the Open Beta version becomes available. I’m hopeful that MoW will be a great performer.”
